After a month long storm of controversy, Ralph Thomas, the Vice-president of the USG, resigned this Wednesday, March 7 before the impeachment trial could begin. A general consensus among many of the senators felt that Thomas’ actions were irresponsible. According to Senator Shapiro, one of the prosecutors representing the case, ‘I think it is unfortunate that it was drawn out this long. If he had resigned earlier a lot of this could have been avoided. He went so far to get the judge prepare this trial’hellip;.it was a waste of resources.’ Senator Antoneilli added that ‘It would have been easier had he resigned earlier since there was work that needed to be done that could have been done earlier.’ Ralph Thomas chose not to comment.
