Host Angelina Livigni and Henna Jeong are joined by Undergraduate Clinical Experience Advisors Alexandra Solowinska and Frankie Matos to talk about their psychiatry clinical rotation. A psychiatry rotation provides hands-on experience in diagnosing and managing mental health conditions, patient communication, psychiatric assessment and more. Listeners learn what a day in the life looks like, patient communication skills and how to approach patients in distress.

Angelina Livigni is a junior journalism major and applied mathematics and statistics minor at Stony Brook University. She has been a member of the multimedia section since fall of 2023 and was promoted in the spring of 2024. Outside of the Statesman she works as an intern for HealthDay News and as a student writer for the Stony Brook University College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
