Host Angelina Livigni is joined by Undergraduate Clinical Experience Advisors Frankie Matos and Alexandra Solowinska to talk about their surgery rotation. The surgery rotation review in medical school involves hands-on clinical training including observing and assisting in surgeries, learning surgical techniques, performing patient rounds and more. Alexandra and Frankie discuss team dynamics, a day in the life and other aspects of their rotation.

Angelina Livigni is a junior journalism major and applied mathematics and statistics minor at Stony Brook University. She has been a member of the multimedia section since fall of 2023 and was promoted in the spring of 2024. Outside of the Statesman she works as an intern for HealthDay News and as a student writer for the Stony Brook University College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
