Stony Brook University Hospital is one of two Long Island hospitals and one of eight New York State hospitals declared “Ebola-ready” by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.
At Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s urging, the SUNY Board of Trustees passed a resolution on Friday, Oct. 2 to create a uniform set of prevention and response practices.
Dr. Balaji Sitharaman, an associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University, is the recipient of the $50,000 grant from the SUNY Technology Accelerator Fund.
Stony Brook University received a $60 million appropriation from the 2014 New York State budget to build the Innovation and Discovery Center as part of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s START-UP NY initiative.
