Seawolves defeat Monmouth 13-0; earn first shutout in program history

Stony Brook proved to be too much for Monmouth on Wednesday, as they were able to defeat the Hawks 13-0. It was the first ever shutout in the programs history. The Seawolves defense was unstoppable, as they held the Hawks to just four shots, and one shot on goal. Senior goalie Frankie Caridi saved the only shot she faced, despite the rain.

Women’s lacrosse starts regular season on five game winning streak

Junior Claire Petersen led the Stony Brook women’s lacrosse team to its first ever win over a ranked opponent. Peterson finished with six goals including the game winner with only nine seconds left, on Saturday against nationally ranked John Hopkins at Homewood Field.
